The car was famously driven to victory at 2013’s Hungarian Grand Prix, adding to Hamilton’s record of 103 Formula 1 Grand Prix wins. In addition, the car was part of the final cohort of F1 cars to feature a V8 engine, making it one of the most special pieces of Mercedes-Benz’s illustrious racing history, a sequel to the legendary Silver Arrows, and one of the most special items that went up for auction at the RM Sotheby’s 2023 Las Vegas Auction.

As such, it sold for an incredible price, with the winning bid for the car being a staggering $18,815,000, which made it the highest seller at the auction.
